About

Adore Rouge LLC opened in 2011 as a one room waxing and makeup studio above a pizza shop in Portland, ME. The idea was to create a place where services that are seen as “add-ons” at full service salons and spas would be the star of the show. Through continuing education and a passion for helping people feel good Brenda, the owner, has turned that vision into a reality.

Aesthetician and Owner

“They say you should love what you do, I am very lucky to be able to  say that and mean it. Growing up, I knew I wanted to be an artist – I even ended up at art school. I never imagined that makeup would be the medium that I chose to work with, but after attending school to get my Aesthetics license in 2007, I quickly realized that makeup was just a different type of art. Waxing on the other hand was just fun and interesting to me, another way to help people feel better about the way they look, which can do wonders for a persons wellbeing.

After working in spas and salons (and even obtaining my cosmetology license) I quickly realized that makeup and waxing were never the “star of the show” and very minimal training on the subjects was offered to many of the people performing them. This was odd to me since both services are intimate and can drastically change the way that you feel about yourself, whether they are done correctly or not. So I saw a need that coincided with my passions and opened Adore Rouge LLC.” – Brenda
